CENTILIO STOCK / MONEY

Excel inventory management, and the day the spreadsheet stops keeping up.

Most stock lists start in a spreadsheet, and Excel is free on the web with a Microsoft account. Stock is designed for the day the list needs more than one person, more than one location or levels that move by themselves when something sells. Stock has not shipped; Excel is ready today.

Stock has not shipped. The console, the features, the plans and the prices on these pages are the design, set out in full so you can judge it long before it exists. Choose

Which one to choose.

Choose Excel if

You hold a few dozen items in one place, one person keeps the list, and free matters most.

Choose Stock if

More than one person handles stock, you have more than one location, or the list is wrong by Tuesday every week, and you can wait for wave 4.

The signs

When a stock spreadsheet stops working.

A spreadsheet is a fine place to start. These are the signs it has been outgrown.

Stock is designed to import the spreadsheet you have, so the move starts from today’s levels rather than from nothing.

  1. Two people update it, and the numbers disagree.
  2. A customer orders something the sheet says you have and the shelf does not.
  3. You keep a second sheet for purchase orders and a third for the second location.
  4. Your accountant asks for the stock value, and it takes a weekend.
If you switch, later

What moving from Microsoft Excel would take.

  1. Start from today’s levels. Import items and quantities from a spreadsheet or an export, and count only what you doubt.
  2. Run both for a month. Keep the old tool while Stock records the same sales and deliveries, and compare the levels each week.
  3. Set the reorder points last. Once the levels agree, add reorder points and let Celia draft the first purchase orders.
  4. Keep the old records. Export the history from the old tool and file it, rather than moving every past movement.
Questions

About switching.

Is Excel free for inventory?

Excel for the web is free with a Microsoft account, and business use sits in Microsoft 365 plans priced per user, as of research in 2026. Check Microsoft’s page for today’s detail.

Can I import my Excel stock list into Stock?

Yes, that is the design. Import items, variants, levels and locations from a spreadsheet, check the preview, and start from the levels you hold today.

Can I still export to Excel?

Yes. Any list, count or valuation in Stock is designed to export to a spreadsheet or PDF.

Why pay for Stock if a spreadsheet is free?

You may not need to: the Stock Free plan is proposed for one location and up to three people. The paid plans add locations, batches, purchase orders and Celia’s forecasts, priced once for the business at ₹799 a month on Pro.

Is Stock available now?

No. Stock is in the fourth wave of Centilio tools and has no launch date yet. Join the waitlist to be told first.

When should I move off the spreadsheet?

When more than one person updates it, when you add a second location, or when the level on the sheet and the level on the shelf stop agreeing. Any one of those is enough.

Hear first when Stock opens.

Stock is in the fourth wave, after Bill, Ledger and Spend, whose invoices, books and supplier bills it is designed to read. Join the waitlist and you will be told before the announcement; in the meantime Account, Sign and Drive are live.
