PRACTICAL GUIDE

Understand a project’s cost

Start with a useful estimate, not a flattering total.

Explore
  1. Agree what your hourly cost rate includes and who may see it.
  2. Record hours against their tasks and flag gaps in time records.
  3. Compare the quote with logged cost and an estimate of the work still to do.
  4. Include other project costs before making a profitability judgement. Reconcile with the accounts.
PRACTICAL GUIDE

Quote with the scope in view

Make assumptions visible before work starts.

Explore
  1. Review comparable completed projects and the quality of their time records.
  2. Separate deliverables, revisions and exclusions in the brief.
  3. Estimate remaining effort and discuss uncertainty with the delivery team.
  4. Agree a change-control step before work outside the scope begins.
PRACTICAL GUIDE

Run projects in a small team

A clear next step beats a complicated workspace.

Explore
  1. Start with one shared list of active work.
  2. Give each task an owner and an agreed date.
  3. Review blockers and capacity together on a regular schedule.
  4. Archive finished projects so the active view stays useful.
PRACTICAL GUIDE

Make the tool worth updating

The person doing the work needs something back.

Explore
  1. Show each person their next task and what is blocking it.
  2. Start with a small set of statuses the team understands.
  3. Agree where client decisions and internal notes belong.
  4. Avoid running two contradictory sources of project status indefinitely.
PRACTICAL GUIDE

Make time records useful

Explain the purpose and protect the context.

Explore
  1. Agree a practical logging interval and attach entries to the work.
  2. Explain how the data will help scope and estimate projects.
  3. Avoid treating hours alone as a measure of individual performance.
  4. Review missing records and share what the team learned from the project.
PRACTICAL GUIDE

Plan a careful migration

Test a small project before committing the team.

Explore
  1. Export projects, tasks, comments, time and attachment references.
  2. Keep the original export safe and check what it actually contains.
  3. Pilot one representative project and reconcile counts, owners and dates.
  4. Validate private notes and client access before inviting anyone.
  5. Agree a cutover and rollback point; retain readable historical records.
THE WEEKLY REVIEW

Four questions.
One useful conversation.

A lightweight review can expose the decision the team needs next.

01

What changed since the last review?

Look at completed work, scope changes and decisions—not just a percentage complete.
02

What is waiting on a decision?

Name the prerequisite, the person who can decide and the next follow-up date.
03

What effort remains?

Review remaining work beside recorded time and acknowledge gaps in the estimate.
04

What will we do next?

Agree ownership, dates and whether a client needs a reviewed update.

QUESTIONS / ANSWERED

A little more clarity.

Open a question for the details.

01

Can I use Track today?

Track has not shipped yet. These pages describe a product in design; the interactive examples use fictional data in your browser. They are not a beta or a connected account.
02

What does Celia do in the design?

Celia is intended to prepare a project plan, highlight recorded blockers and draft updates from permitted context. People review the work and approve anything sent to a customer.
03

Are the plans and integrations final?

No. Prices, allowances, release scope and connections are proposals. Confirm them with Centilio before relying on them.
04

Does the sample change a real project?

No. Its tasks, hours and cost rates are local demonstration state. Reloading or resetting restores the sample. Nothing is saved to an account or sent to a client.
