TASK GUIDE / STARTSet up a team pilot
Start small enough to inspect the result.
Read the steps
- Agree the owner
Choose who will manage membership, collections and recovery. Confirm the plan and deployment.
- Use fictional records
Create a non-sensitive test set in the actual application, following its current guide.
- Check the full path
Test sign-in, sharing, revocation and recovery before inviting a larger group.
TASK GUIDE / MOVEPrepare a credential import
Prove the mapping before moving the full set.
Read the steps
- Confirm the format
Ask which source versions and file types the current release accepts, including LastPass CSV.
- Test a sample
Use fictional records to inspect names, fields, collections and any attachment handling.
- Plan a controlled cutover
Agree a backup, rollback and sensitive-export handling procedure before moving real credentials.
TASK GUIDE / ACCESSReview a team departure
Treat membership and credential exposure separately.
Read the steps
- Review membership
Follow the organisation’s authorised process to remove supported access.
- Review sessions and exposure
Check active sessions and identify credentials that may have been copied.
- Rotate and record
Rotate affected credentials in their source services where required, verify dependants, and retain redacted evidence.
TASK GUIDE / ACCESSRecover from a lost factor
Use the documented recovery path.
Read the steps
- Identify the problem
Distinguish a lost device, unavailable factor and forgotten master password.
- Follow the current guide
Use the supported recovery method. Do not repeatedly change settings or share recovery material in chat.
- Ask safely
Contact the authorised administrator or support with redacted context, never a password or recovery key.
TASK GUIDE / STARTCheck browser autofill
Start with the domain and supported client.
Read the steps
- Verify the installation
Check the trusted extension publisher, supported browser and Vault domain.
- Inspect a fictional login
Confirm the service URL and expected item with a non-sensitive test account.
- Record the symptom
Note versions and the redacted behaviour. Do not send a credential export or disable protections to make the test pass.

A familiar-looking page is not enough to trust a credential match.
What this example means
Do not bypass domain checks or weaken protection to make autofill work.

Are these exact button-by-button product instructions?
These are task guides and safety checks. Product menus can vary by release; use the current in-app documentation or ask support for the exact steps for your version.
Can I send support my password or recovery kit?
No. Never send secret values, recovery keys, session tokens or complete credential exports. Share only minimal redacted diagnostic context.
Will removing a person rotate their passwords automatically?
Do not assume so. Review the supported revocation flow and separately rotate credentials that may have been copied or exposed.
How long will migration take?
It depends on record formats, team size, access mapping and testing. A small pilot helps establish a realistic plan; this page does not promise a fixed migration time.
Where can I try a password generator?
The Vault overview includes a local browser generator. It is not connected to your Vault account or a team policy.
Does this page submit a support ticket?
No. Search, guides and checklists stay in the page. Use the official contact link to reach the Vault team through its actual support workflow.
