About the features.
Which calendars does it sync with?
Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com, two-way, on every plan including Free. Two-way is the part that matters: an appointment somebody puts in their personal calendar blocks the slot in Book, which is the difference between a booking page you trust and one you check.
How often does it check?
When the page is drawn, not on a schedule. A booking page that syncs overnight is a booking page that sells yesterday's availability.
Can different services take different amounts of time?
Yes, and different buffers, different people, different deposits and a different form. A service in Book knows its own rules, which is most of what a booking tool is.
Can I take group bookings or classes?
Yes, on Pro: a number of places, a waiting list, and one message to everybody if it is cancelled.
What about rooms and chairs?
That is Business. A booking then needs both the person and the thing, and Book will not sell a room twice.
What happens when somebody does not turn up?
The appointment is marked as a no-show, the deposit follows the rule you set, and Celia drafts a re-booking message that a person sends. Book does not send it by itself, because the right message to somebody whose car broke down is not the right message to somebody who does this every month.
Does it do reminders by SMS?
Yes, on Pro, where the country and the carrier allow it. Email is the fallback and always works.
Can I export everything?
Yes, on every plan including Free: customers, appointments, notes and forms. If you leave, you leave with all of it.
