CENTILIO BOOK / SELL · EMBER

The best appointment scheduling software, compared — including the ones we would tell you to buy instead.

Book is not built, so every one of these comparisons ends with a row the others do not have: theirs ships today and ours does not. Three we recommend outright on their own pages — Cal.com if you are one person, Setmore if you are four or fewer, Square if you are a salon already taking card payments on Square. We think the design is better for a business where several people share one diary, and we would rather argue that in public on published list prices than wait until launch to be evaluated.

Book is not available yet. These are proposed screens, features and prices—not a beta or a live booking service. The interactive diary uses fictional data; no appointment, message, deposit or customer record leaves this page.

Comparisons

Pick the one you are shortlisting.

Zoho Bookings publishes local pricing as we do. Calendly, Acuity, Setmore, Cal.com, Square and SimplyBook.me bill Indian businesses in dollars, so their figures stay in dollars on these pages.

Centilio Book vs Calendly

Calendly Standard is $10 (in dollars) per seat a month and Teams is $16 (in dollars) per seat; the free plan gives you one event type and one calendar connection.

Centilio Book vs Acuity Scheduling

Acuity Scheduling, now part of Squarespace, is $20 (in dollars) a month for one calendar, $34 (in dollars) for up to six and $61 (in dollars) for up to thirty-six, with proposed annual rates annually ($16 (in dollars), $27 (in dollars) and $49 (in dollars)).

Centilio Book vs Setmore

Setmore is free for up to four users with unlimited appointments, and Pro is $12 (in dollars) per user a month or $5 (in dollars) on annual billing.

Centilio Book vs SimplyBook.me

SimplyBook.me is free for 50 bookings a month with one provider, then $13.90 (in dollars) for 100 bookings and five providers, $29.90 (in dollars) for 500 and fifteen, and $59.90 (in dollars) for 2,000 and thirty ($11.90 (in dollars), $24.90 (in dollars) and $49.90 (in dollars) annually).

Centilio Book vs Square Appointments

Square Appointments is free for a single location at 2.6% + 15c in person, then $49 (in dollars) a month per location on Plus at 2.5% + 15c, and $149 (in dollars) on Premium at 2.4%.

Centilio Book vs Cal.com

Cal.com is free for one user with unlimited event types and calendars, Stripe and PayPal payments and a hundred integrations, then $12 (in dollars) per user a month billed yearly for Teams and $28 (in dollars) for Organizations.

Centilio Book vs Zoho Bookings

Zoho Bookings is free for one user, then Basic and Premium per user per month billed annually, with a Flex plan for custom needs.

The short version

What is true in every comparison.

The meter charges you for growing

Per seat at Calendly ($10 to $16, in dollars), Cal.com ($12 to $28, in dollars) and Setmore; per calendar band at Acuity; per location at Square ($49, in dollars); per booking at SimplyBook.me. A clinic that hires a fourth clinician is charged for it by every one of them.

Free plans are shaped to fail

Calendly gives you one event type and one calendar connection. SimplyBook.me stops at fifty bookings a month. Acuity has no free plan at all. Setmore and Cal.com are the honourable exceptions and we say so on their pages.

The booking ends where it should start

Every tool here books a time well. Almost none of them hold a deposit that becomes an invoice, attach the intake form to the appointment, and put the visit on a customer record with the previous three on it.

Questions

About switching — later.

Are these comparisons fair?

They are meant to be. Every price was read from the vendor's own pricing page on 7 September 2026 and each page says plainly when the other tool is the better buy — which for a single user is most of them.

Which is the closest competitor?

Zoho Bookings, on logic: another suite, another "it is already next to your CRM" argument. It is priced per user and it works today; Book is priced per business and does not exist yet.

Which one would you use today?

Cal.com if you are one person, Setmore if you are up to four, Acuity if you want one polished thing and do not mind the calendar bands, Square if you are a salon that already takes card payments on Square.
