CENTILIO LEDGER / MONEY

Cloud accounting software features, and the plan each is on.

Ledger is designed around five jobs: build the books from what already happened, review one queue, keep tax by the line, show the owner the numbers, and give your accountant what they need. Here is every feature, what Celia does in it, what a person approves, and the plan it sits on. All of it is proposed, and none of it is running yet.

Ledger has not shipped yet.

Everything on these pages — the screens, the features, the prices — is Centilio Ledger as designed. Ledger has not shipped: it sits in the third wave of Centilio tools, and there is no app, no beta and no launch date yet. We would rather set out the whole design and say so plainly than publish a thin page and let you guess. Join the waitlist and you will hear first; if you need an invoice today, the free invoice generator works now, with no sign-up.

Five chapters

Every feature, chapter by chapter.

Each chapter ends with what Celia does in it and what a person approves. The plan name follows every feature.

5 feature groups

Proposed at launch unless marked after launch

Books built from what already happened.

Books

Read capabilities
  1. Invoices and payments from Bill. Every invoice, credit note and payment recorded in Bill arrives as an entry with the customer, the tax and the date already on it. Free
  2. Expenses from Spend. Approved expenses and reimbursements arrive categorised, with the receipt attached and the approver named. Free
  3. Bank feeds and statement upload. Connect a bank where a feed is available, or upload a statement; every line is matched to an entry or put in the review queue. Free
  4. Rules that remember. Tell Ledger once that a supplier is postage and its next lines follow; every rule can be seen, edited and switched off. Pro
  5. A chart of accounts to start with. A standard chart for your country, editable, with opening balances entered once from your last year-end. Free
  6. Celia here. Proposes an account for each new line from your past entries and your rules, and says how sure it is; you approve it or correct it once. Pro
Proposed at launch unless marked after launch

One queue to review, then the month closes.

Review

Read capabilities
  1. The review queue. One list of what needs a person: unmatched bank lines, missing receipts, and anything Celia is unsure about. Free
  2. Bank reconciliation. Statement balance and book balance side by side, with the difference explained line by line until it is zero. Free
  3. Multi-currency. Invoices, bills and bank accounts in other currencies, with exchange differences calculated and posted for you. Pro
  4. Close and lock a month. Close a period after review; changing a closed month needs a reason on the record. Pro
  5. Approval for closed months. A change to a closed month waits for a named approver, and the before and after are both kept. Business
  6. Celia here. Matches payments to invoices, including one transfer that settles several, and explains any difference it cannot clear; a person closes the month. Pro
Proposed at launch unless marked after launch

Tax kept by the line, not worked out at the end.

Tax

Read capabilities
  1. Tax codes on every line. Each entry carries its tax code from Bill or Spend, so a return is built from lines rather than totals. Free
  2. Tax by rate and period. Sales tax or VAT collected and paid, summarised by rate and period, ready for whoever files. Pro
  3. Year-end pack. Trial balance, ledgers and schedules for your accountant, in the spreadsheet files they ask for. Business
  4. Celia here. Flags lines whose tax code looks wrong for the supplier or the rate, before the period closes. Pro
Proposed at launch unless marked after launch

Cash, profit and what you are owed, on one screen.

Reports

Read capabilities
  1. The owner’s screen. Cash in the bank, profit this month and what customers owe, on one screen with last month beside it. Free
  2. Standard reports. Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance and general ledger, for any period you choose. Free
  3. Aged receivables and payables. Who owes you, whom you owe, and for how long, each line linked to the invoice or bill behind it. Pro
  4. Month-end summary. A plain-language note on the month: what moved, why, and what to watch next. Pro
  5. Several entities. Each company keeps its own books, reported apart or together, under one bill. Business
  6. Celia here. Drafts the month-end summary in plain words, every figure linked to the entries behind it; you edit it before anyone else reads it. Pro

Your accountant, in the books, with a role of their own.

Accountant

Read capabilities
  1. Accountant role. Your accountant gets a login and a role that sees the books and the trail, not your other tools, and never counts against your plan. Free
  2. Audit trail on every entry. Who created, changed, approved or reversed each entry, when, and from which tool. Free
  3. Exports accountants expect. Ledgers, trial balance and reports exported to spreadsheet and CSV files. Free
  4. Working papers. Reconciliations and schedules drafted for your accountant to review, with the evidence attached. Business
  5. Audit trail export and API. The full trail exported for an auditor, and an API (proposed) for the tools around your books. Business
  6. Celia here. Drafts the working papers your accountant asks for each year; they review, adjust and sign off. Pro

What a review queue changes, against a spreadsheet or a desktop install.

For a small business the comparison that matters most is not with a brand. It is with the spreadsheet, and with the program on one office computer; named comparisons are on the compare pages.

Questions

About the features.

Is any of this available today?

No. Ledger has not shipped, and every feature on this page is a design with a proposed plan beside it. Join the waitlist to hear when it opens.

Which features are free?

Entries from Bill and Spend, one bank account with a feed or statement upload, the review queue, bank reconciliation, standard reports, the owner’s screen, the accountant role, exports and the audit trail. Free is designed for everyone in the business.

What does Celia do on each plan?

On Free, Celia suggests a category for each new line. On Pro and above it categorises with your rules, matches payments to invoices, flags what looks wrong and drafts the month-end summary, and on Business it also drafts working papers. It never closes a month or files anything.

Is it double-entry?

Yes, that is the design. Every entry balances behind the scenes; owners see plain questions rather than debits and credits, and your accountant sees the full journal.

Can it handle more than one company?

Several entities are proposed on Business, each with its own books, reported apart or together under one bill. Each entity keeps its own chart of accounts and tax settings.

Will there be an API?

An API is proposed on Business. It will be documented here when it exists, and not before.

What people use with Ledger.

The tools Ledger sits between. Two of them run today, so you can judge those while Ledger is built.

Hear first when Ledger opens.

Ledger is in the third wave, after Bill, with Spend and Pay beside it. Join the waitlist and you will hear before the announcement. Tell us how you keep the books today and what your year-end looks like; the awkward requirements shape the design most.
