CENTILIO WRITE / WORK

Online word processor alternatives, compared — including where we lose.

Write is not built, so every comparison here ends with a row the others do not have: theirs ships today and ours does not. We compare on things that stay true — what each tool is, how it approaches a document, how it is priced — and leave out prices and figures we cannot keep current. If you need to write a document this afternoon, any of the three will do it well.

Write has not shipped yet.

Everything on these pages — the screens, the features, the prices — is Centilio Write as designed, not a product you can open today. Write is in the third wave of Centilio tools: there is no app, no beta and no launch date yet, and we would rather show you the whole design and say so than publish a page with three sentences on it. Join the waitlist and you will hear first.

Side by side

Four tools, compared on what stays true.

Including Word for the web, the Microsoft word processor online. Facts as of research in 2026, on what each tool is and how it is priced, not on list prices that change. Check the vendor’s page for today’s detail and tell us if we are out of date.

Choose

Where each one fits.

Choose Word if

Your customers, lawyers or partners send and expect .docx files, you need detailed page layout, and you need it today.

Choose Google Docs if

Your team already works in Google Workspace and wants live co-editing in the browser now.

Choose Notion if

Documents are one part of a wider workspace of notes, wikis and project pages.

Choose Write if

Most of what you write is drafted from what your business already knows — a deal, a person, a set of numbers — you want one price for the whole business, and you can wait for wave 3.

If you switch

Switching, later, without a big move.

  1. Keep the old tool for a while. Write is designed to import .docx, so nothing has to move on day one; start with new documents and bring old ones when you touch them.
  2. Move the templates first. Your proposal, contract and policy templates are where the hours are saved; rebuild those in your brand and the rest follows.
  3. Bring the live documents, not the archive. Documents still being edited or signed come across; finished ones can stay where they are, or be filed in Drive.
  4. Check one document end to end. Draft, edit, send to Sign, file in Drive — once, properly — before the team moves.
Questions

About comparing and switching.

Is Write better than these tools?

Not today, because it does not exist yet and they do. We think the design is better for a business whose documents are drafted from its own deals, people and numbers; for most other writing, any of the three is a good choice.

Why no competitor prices?

Because prices change more often than pages do, and a wrong price is worse than none. We compare the pricing model — per user, per member, per business — as of research in 2026, and you can check each vendor for today’s figure.

Can I keep using Word files?

Yes. Write is designed to import and export .docx and PDF, so the file everyone exchanges keeps working.

Will Write have real-time co-editing?

Yes, that is the design. Live editing, comments, suggestions and a version history, all in the browser.

Can I move my documents later?

Yes. Start with new documents and templates, and bring older ones across when you next need them; nothing has to move on the first day.

Something here is wrong. Who do I tell?

Us, through the contact page. Corrections to a comparison are published as soon as we have checked them.

Be told when Write opens.

Write is in the third wave, alongside the tools that hold the facts it drafts from. Join the waitlist and you will hear before the announcement — and in the meantime Drive and Sign are yours to use.
