CENTILIO PULSE / SELL · EMBER

Looking for a Mailchimp alternative? It is almost always the same two reasons.

Historical comparison from Fable’s September 2026 research, not a current vendor quote. Confirm current provider features, prices, currency and billing periods. Pulse is unbuilt. The price climbs with your contact list whether or not you send more email, and the free plan is now 250 contacts and 500 emails a month with a 250-a-day cap. Essentials starts at $13 and Standard at $20 as twelve-month introductory rates, and Premium is $350. Centilio Pulse meters emails sent instead: unlimited contacts on every plan including Free, $19 a month for 25,000 emails and $39 for 100,000, for the whole business.

Choose Mailchimp if

You want the most familiar tool in the category today, your list is small and stable, you like their editor and their templates, and the per-contact model does not bother you at your size. It is a good product and it invented this market.

Choose Centilio Pulse if

Your list has grown and the bill grew with it, or you are also doing outbound and do not want to buy a second product with a second suppression list, or you want the replies to land on a customer record rather than in one person's inbox.

  1. Export the suppression list first. Everyone who ever unsubscribed or complained on Mailchimp, before anything else. Emailing a past unsubscriber is the worst first send you can make, and it is the mistake this migration produces most often.
  2. Authenticate before you import. SPF, DKIM and DMARC verified on the new tool, so your first send is not also your first experiment.
  3. Start with your best segment. The people who opened something recently. A first send that gets read and answered establishes the new setup; a first send to the whole list establishes the opposite.
  4. Proposed approach: authenticate first, preserve suppressions, and increase volume only as relevant delivery and complaint evidence supports it. There is no fixed warmup or migration duration that guarantees inbox placement.
Questions

About switching.

Is Centilio Pulse a Mailchimp alternative?

Historical comparison from Fable’s September 2026 research, not a current vendor quote. Confirm current provider features, prices, currency and billing periods. Pulse is unbuilt. For a business that wants campaigns, sequences and outbound on one list, yes — and with unlimited contacts instead of a price that climbs as your list grows. For a Shopify store that needs product-feed automation, no; that is Klaviyo.

Is it a Klaviyo alternative?

Historical comparison from Fable’s September 2026 research, not a current vendor quote. Confirm current provider features, prices, currency and billing periods. Pulse is unbuilt. For a business that is not an ecommerce store, yes. For one that is, Klaviyo is genuinely the best product in that niche and we would rather say so than sell you a year of disappointment.

Is it an Instantly or Smartlead alternative?

For a business that also sends a newsletter, yes, and it is the only tool on this list that does both on one list and one reputation. For an agency running high-volume outbound across dozens of domains, no — they are built for that and we are not.

Is it a Brevo alternative?

Historical comparison from Fable’s September 2026 research, not a current vendor quote. Confirm current provider features, prices, currency and billing periods. Pulse is unbuilt. It is aimed at the same buyer, and Brevo is the only large vendor that already prices the right way, by emails sent rather than contacts stored. Our argument is that they then charge extra for removing their own logo and sell SMS credits separately, and that replies going onto a customer record is worth more than either.
