Team has not shipped yet.

Team has not shipped. These pages set out Centilio Team as it is designed — the console, every feature, the plans and their proposed prices — so you can weigh it before it exists. It is part of the third wave of Centilio tools, coming after Hire, and has no beta and no launch date yet. Join the waitlist to be told first.

Topics

Start with the question you have.

In short: it is the system a business keeps its people in — records, leave, attendance, documents, onboarding — so that employees, managers and whoever runs HR work from the same facts. Team is designed as one, connected to hiring and payroll.

Getting started

Importing your people, setting leave rules and inviting managers, designed to take an afternoon rather than a project.

Everyday use

Leave requests, approvals, attendance, documents and letters, on the phone and on the desk.

Celia

What it drafts, what it watches, and what it never does: approve, pay or change a record by itself.

Billing

Per business, not per employee, with a Free plan for up to 10 people. All prices are proposed.

Guides

Six guides, useful whatever you use for HR today.

Short and practical. None of them needs Team, and they work with a spreadsheet just as well.

How to choose HR software

Choose for the people who will use it every day, not for the demo.

  1. List the five jobs it must do from day one: records, leave, documents, onboarding and the monthly handover to payroll.
  2. Count who will touch it — employees, managers and whoever runs HR — and check it works on a phone for all of them.
  3. Ask how your current spreadsheet comes in, and how your records would leave if you ever switched.
  4. Check how the price moves as you grow: per employee, per module or per business. Work out the bill at twice your size.
  5. Try one real month: a new starter, a leave request, an expiring document and a payroll handover.

How to move people records out of a spreadsheet

The spreadsheet is not the problem; the five copies of it are. Move once, carefully.

  1. Pick one sheet as the truth and retire the others before you start.
  2. Agree the columns: name, role, manager, start date, contract type, location and leave entitlement.
  3. Fill the gaps you find rather than carrying them across; a missing start date only gets harder to find.
  4. Bring documents alongside each person, starting with current contracts.
  5. Keep the original file somewhere safe, dated, in case a question comes later.

How to write a leave policy people follow

A leave policy is read when someone wants time off. Write it for that moment.

  1. Name each type of leave and how many days it carries, in one table.
  2. Say how far ahead to ask and who approves, in one sentence each.
  3. Explain carry-over and what happens at year end before anyone has to ask.
  4. Set public holidays by location, so each office knows its own.
  5. Publish one version, and ask everyone to acknowledge it.

How to onboard a new starter in their first week

A new starter decides in the first week whether they chose well. Make the week easy to get right.

  1. Send the contract and first-day documents before day one, so the first morning is not paperwork.
  2. Have their laptop, accounts and access ready when they arrive.
  3. Give them one person to ask, and a short list of who does what.
  4. Plan the first week’s work, including one task they can finish.
  5. Check in on day five, and write down what to fix for the next starter.

How to keep employee documents in date

Documents expire quietly. The fix is to know the date before it arrives.

  1. List which documents your business must hold for each role: contract, right to work, licences, certificates.
  2. Record the expiry date of each one, not just the file.
  3. Set a reminder well before each date, for the person and for HR.
  4. Keep the signed version, and the version each person agreed to, side by side.
  5. Review the list each quarter; roles change and so do the rules.

How to handle a leaver fairly and completely

How someone leaves is remembered by everyone who stays. Do it carefully and the same way each time.

  1. Confirm the notice period, last day and final pay in writing.
  2. Agree the handover early, while the person still has time to do it well.
  3. Collect equipment and remove access on the last day, not the week after.
  4. Send the final pay details and any letters they are owed.
  5. Ask why they are leaving, and keep the answer.
Questions

Quick answers.

What is HR software?

It is the system a business keeps its people in: who works there, on what terms, with which documents, how much leave they have and who approves it. Good ones let employees and managers handle the everyday parts themselves, on a phone, so the person running HR is not the bottleneck.

What is HR management software?

Much the same thing under a longer name: a system for people records, leave, attendance, documents and the processes around them, such as onboarding, reviews and exits. Some products add recruiting and payroll; in Centilio those are Hire and Pay, sharing one record with Team.

What is HR and payroll software?

A system that holds the people records and also pays them. Centilio splits the two on purpose: Team keeps the record and prepares each month’s inputs, a manager approves them, and Pay runs the payroll.

What does an HR system do day to day?

It answers small questions at once — how much leave is left, who is in today, where the signed contract is — and runs the routine processes. Those are requests and approvals, onboarding tasks, expiry reminders and the month-end handover to payroll.

Does Team handle Indian statutory requirements?

That is the design, together with Pay: PF, ESI, professional tax and the letters and registers that go with them, alongside the standard records every business keeps. Pay is planned for the same wave as Team.

Can employees use Team on their phones?

Yes, that is the design: leave requests, attendance, documents and payslips from Pay, all on the phone. Changes to sensitive details go to HR for approval.

When is Team available?

Team is in the third wave of Centilio tools, after Hire, which is live today. There is no launch date yet; join the waitlist and you will hear before the announcement.

Is Team free?

Free is proposed for up to 10 people, then Pro at $49 a month for up to 100 people. Nothing is charged until Team ships.

Still have a question?

Team is still being designed, so the questions you ask now change what gets built. Tell us how many people you have, where they work and what you use today; the awkward cases are the most useful.

Next for you

What sits next to Team.

The tools a people record depends on. Most of them are live today, so you can start with them while Team is built.

Be first to know when Team opens.

Team follows Hire in the third wave, alongside Pay, which runs the salaries Team prepares. Join the waitlist for a note before anything is announced. Hire, Sign and Drive are yours to use in the meantime.
